The Ruins

THE RUINS Talisay, Negros Occidental The Ruins  are the remains of the ancestral home mansion of the family of Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson and Maria Braga Lacson. It is situated in  Talisay ,  Negros Occidental , Philippines. The mansion was built in the early 1900s and inspired by  Italian architecture . HISTORY The ancestral home mansion of the family of wealthy sugar baron Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson who built it in the early 1900s, in memory of his Portuguese wife Maria Braga Lacson, who had died during the birth of her eleventh child. It was constructed on a 440-hectare plantation in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, and burned down by the  American colonial masters  during  World War II  to prevent its use as a military office by the  invading Japanese forces . Kalanggaman Island PALOMPON, LEYTE Kalanggaman Island is one of the most beautiful islands in the Philippines, known for its long sandbar with creamy white sand and rough coral stones. Mt. Caramoan Camarines Sur, Bicol The Caramoan Islands, located at the easternmost part of Camarines Sur in the Bicol region, are a popular destination in the Philippines, renowned for their pristine beaches, powdery white sands, aquamarine waters, and stunning limestone formations. Our Experience We were a group of six visiting the beautiful Caramoan Islands. We booked a 2-day, 1-night package through a travel agency. After a long journey from Manila, we arrived at our hotel in Caramoan around 2 PM. Lunch was ready upon our arrival, and the delicious dishes satisfied our hungry stomachs. Eager to explore, we set off for island hopping by motorboat. When we arrived, we found the island somewhat crowded with tourists. We also climbed a cliff that led to a hidden lagoon, where we discovered an enchanting milkfish.
